ROCK BREAD

Often we throw off the cream after skimming it from the milk. Here is a quick snack that needs only 2-3 teaspoons of cream and is nutritious as well. The healthy breakfast recipe is as follows:

Ingredients:

Onions - 2 medium
Tomatoes - 2 medium
Suji (Rawa) 2 Tablespoon ( Acts as the binding material )
Fresh cream 2 Tbs
Black Pepper ( For it's unique flavor )
Salt
Bread slices ( Rock Bread tastes the best with White bread )
Cooking oil

NB : Health conscious people use non-stick cooking pan.

Preparation time: 10 mins.

Serves : 2-4 people { Depending upon each's diet :) }

Difficulty level : Easy for those who have been cooking earlier and moderate for 1st time kitchen steppers. Difficult for men :(

Method :

Step 1). Finely chop the onions and tomatoes.
Other optional veges are capsicum, green chillies, carrots and cabbage. But the best flavor comes with finely chopped capsicum.

Step 2). Mix the chopped veges with fresh cream and rawa (suji).

Step 3). Add black pepper and salt according to taste. The mixture will look as shown in the picture below.

Step 4). Spread this mixture on a slice of bread evenly.
(No need to cut out the edges of the bread.)

Step 5). Heat a flat pan on medium flame. When it is hot place the bread on the pan in such a way that the spread mixture faces upwards and the bread base is on the pan.

Step 6). Put few drops of oil over and around the bread slices.

Step 7). Turn over the breads carefully once the base is little brown. It takes approximately 2 mins.
Now,put little oil on the crisp golden base and let the bread fry.

Step 8). After 3-4 mins when the snack is ready to eat bring down the slices and cut them into halves.
Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.

Serve in CHICKI STYLE

For all wondering why this snack is named ' ROCK BREAD ', here is the secret. This made my school friends and me ' ROCK ' every time my Mom made it. Try it out yourself. It will make your family rock too.
